We have also participated in one of the most important conferences of the industry in the capital of Colombia, the «International Forum Cities and Sustainable Spaces», organized by Camacol (Colombian Chamber of Construction). We had the opportunity to present our company and our products to professionals from different countries. In addition, we participate in the different academic agendas in order to update ourselves on the new trends in the sector.

The Quito Metro will be the underground public transport network of the city of Quito, capital of Ecuador, and will be operational by the end of 2019. The Quito Metro is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the country and will have an enormous impact on the operation of the capital by becoming the backbone of the public transportation system.

22 kilometers in length and 15 stations are contemplated around the city, being able to transfer around 400,000 people daily. Plastic Matilla supports this project by providing skylights so that the Metro, based on a dark space, becomes a luminous space and thus help Quito to develop.

They began work on the Ibis Budget in Miraflores to open in the first half of 2020

The engineering and construction company HV Contractors, began the construction of the first hotel of the Ibis Budget Miraflores brand on December 17, 2018, which will be located in the district of Miraflores. For construction works, the company collaborates with Plástico Matilla to supply skylights and thus promote the natural light of the capital of Peru.

With a total constructed area of 6,600 square meters, this modern hotel will have seven floors, plus roof, two parking basements and one cistern. This new infrastructure will have 162 rooms, of which 102 will be simple, 56 doubles and 4 for disabled. In addition, the first floor will be used for access to the hotel, reception, public restrooms, restaurant, kitchen and administrative offices. The work is expected to conclude in February 2020.

The Almeria company celebrated on June 7, 2018 the commemorative act of its 40th anniversary with the participation of the president of the Provincial Institution, Gabriel Amat and the president of Asempal, José Cano.
At the beginning of the event, the company’s manager, Jorge Matilla, thanked the Provincial Council and its president for the support they have given him on such an emotional day: «Today we celebrate the 40th anniversary of a company from Almeria, one hundred percent and very proud of having overcome crisis situations and having known how to grow and expand to be leaders of our sector in our country and at European level «.
For his part, the president of Asempal, José Cano, congratulated the company on its anniversary and stressed the important work of family businesses in the province that «have made it grow and reach further and further away.»

The Almeria Volleyball Club, better known as Unicaja Almería, was founded in 1986 by a group of students and is currently the oldest and most successful team in Spanish men’s volleyball with twenty-seven titles. Between them they emphasize 11 Superligas, 11 Copas of the King and 7 Supercopas.

Campo de Dalías, one of the largest desalination plants in Europe, comes into operation with the help of Plasticos Matilla

The project, with an investment of 130 million euros, allows the production of more than 97 million liters of water per day to supply 300,000 inhabitants and 8,000 hectares of irrigated land in the west of Almeria. Campo de Dalías, one of the largest desalination plants in Europe, entered into operation in November 2015 and is located in El Ejido, a municipality in the province of Almería.

The subsidiary Veolia Water Technologies entrusted us with the supply (number) of high-quality skylights in its project promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment. Our work allowed that now the building is luminous and thus we participate in the reduction of electricity and the maintenance of the environment.
